What is the Orangetheory infinity workout? (Tips and Template)

The Orangetheory Infinity Workout is a challenge that Orangetheory Fitness offers to its members. Orangetheory Infinity is a mini Dri Tri. This workout is a three parts challenge. For the treadmill and rower parts, you try to see how far you can go in a certain amount of time (in miles on the treadmill and meters on the Rower). For the floor part, you’ll be performing the same six exercises that you’ll also perform at the Dri Tri. Orangetheory Infinity classes are in 3G format, and it has 3 blocks. Each block is 14 min long.

For example, Infinity is excellent preparation for Dri-Tri!! Row 100m AO, then 20 front jacks, and repeat going down 2 front jacks each time. Once you get to 2, you go back up. The floor block is 300 BW reps like Dri-tri, and then the tread was endurance with 3 min push, 1 min base, and then the Push goes down by 30 sec each round with a constant 1 min base.

Let’s Break It Down, Orangetheory Infinity Workout:

Let's Break It Down, Orangetheory Infinity Workout

This is a 3G-style (not 2G) workout. And the floor exercises? Same ones you’ll see in DriTri (Dri Tri is 2000m row, 300 weight floor reps, and a 5k tread).

On The Rower (14 minutes): Find a pace you can maintain for the whole block as you alternate between a 100m row and an exercise. For example, in Rower, you do 100 meters, 20 med ball jacks, 100 meters, 18 med ball jacks, etc.

On The Floor (14 minutes): Find a rep strategy that fluidly lets you get through these six moves. For example, in Floor 40 bench hop overs, 20 bench tap squats, 20 each leg step ups (40 total), 20 press ups, 20 low plank jacks, and 10 burpees continue for 14 min.

On The Treadmill (14 minutes): Start conservatively on your Push to maintain your Base. For example, Tread 3 min push, 1 min base 2.30 min push, etc.

What Is the Orangetheory Infinity Workout Goal?

You can have to start on the Rower! Do the jacks next to your Rower to save time. And pace yourself on the floor! The exercises are sneaky and will wipe you out fast. Just focus on continuous movement. Try not to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and keep moving!

Orangetheory Infinity Workout Tips

  • Ensure you’re eating clean on the days leading up to the race! Carb up the night before and drink more water than you usually might.
  • The Rower isn’t the place to try to be speedy. It’s going to take time, so try to settle into a comfortable rhythm.
  • Try to stay steady in pace on the floor; that’s what killed me when I did it. Use the step-ups as a “break” and drink your water then but stay steady in tempo. Use the music to help you keep in rhythm.
  • The tread sucks if you don’t like distance running, but I ran like a snail and made it!

Honestly, you won’t know if you can do it till you go and try it. You can do it!
